Structured courses built for real life
Every SelfGuard Pro program follows a written syllabus with defined learning outcomes, safety rules, and assessment checkpoints. Below you will find descriptions, typical duration, and who each course is designed for.
Urban Foundations
Urban Foundations is our most popular entry point. Over four weekly sessions of ninety minutes, you will learn how to scan an environment without appearing anxious, set verbal boundaries, and respond physically if someone closes distance against your will. Week one focuses entirely on non-contact skills: stance, balance, and voice. Week two introduces palm-heel strikes and forearm blocks against padded targets. Week three covers releases from wrist and clothing grabs. Week four combines everything in slow-speed partner drills with instructor supervision.
Participants must be eighteen or older and in general health. We ask about injuries during registration so instructors can suggest modifications. Protective equipment is provided; wear comfortable athletic clothing. Graduates receive a completion summary and may enrol in Scenario Response or specialist workshops.
Typical fee: SGD 320 per person (see schedule for current intake dates).
Women's Safety Lab
Women's Safety Lab addresses scenarios raised repeatedly in our consultation calls: unwanted contact in nightlife areas, persistent following after work, and feeling cornered in lifts or stairwells. The course is taught exclusively by female instructors and maintains a strict no-photography policy during sessions unless a student opts in for promotional material.
Content includes boundary-setting language, using personal items as barriers, low-line kicks when appropriate, and ground recovery if a fall occurs. We also discuss reporting pathways in Singapore — when to call 999, how to preserve evidence, and support resources — without replacing professional legal advice. Partners rotate within the cohort; you may attend solo.
Typical fee: SGD 480 per person for the full six-week block.
Scenario Response
Scenario Response is for graduates of Urban Foundations who want deeper practice under elevated heart rate. Sessions include agility ladders, verbal distractions, and two-on-one drills at controlled intensity. Instructors wear protective suits for certain modules so you experience realistic contact without undue risk.
Enrollment requires instructor approval based on attendance, partner control, and respect for safety calls. This program is not suitable for students with unresolved joint injuries or cardiovascular conditions without medical clearance. Homework consists of ten-minute mobility routines you can do at home.
Typical fee: SGD 960 per person for twelve sessions.
Corporate Briefings
Organisations book SelfGuard Pro for staff briefings on personal safety during business travel, client entertainment, and late shifts. We deliver condensed versions of our awareness curriculum with optional desk-break movement segments. Sessions can be held at our Keong Saik studio or at your premises if space permits. Minimum group size is eight participants; maximum twenty-four per session for quality control.
Corporate bookings include a written outline, attendance register, and invoice with stated fees before confirmation. We do not collect employee health data beyond what you choose to share for safety planning.
Typical fee: from SGD 1,800 for a half-day studio briefing (final quote depends on headcount and travel).
Private Coaching
Private coaching suits individuals who prefer not to train in groups, need schedule flexibility, or want to prepare for a specific upcoming program. Sessions last sixty minutes and follow the same safety standards as group classes. We do not offer street-level personal protection services or bodyguard assignments — instruction only.
Typical fee: SGD 140 per session; packages of five sessions available at SGD 650.
