Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how SelfGuard Pro uses cookies and similar technologies on SelfGuardPro.life. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They can remember preferences, keep sessions secure, or enable optional features. Similar technologies include local storage, which we use to remember your cookie consent choice without tracking you across unrelated sites.
2. How we use cookies
SelfGuard Pro uses a minimal cookie approach. We do not run advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this website. The categories we use are:
Essential cookies / storage
When you accept or reject optional cookies, we store your preference in your browser's local storage under the key sgp_cookie_consent. This is necessary to honour your choice on future visits and to avoid showing the banner repeatedly. This storage does not identify you personally and is not shared with advertisers.
Functional cookies (optional)
If you accept functional cookies — or click "Load Google Map" on our contact page — we load an embedded Google Map showing our studio location at 22 Keong Saik Road, #04-06, Singapore 089128. Google may set its own cookies or collect usage data according to Google's policies. We only enable this embed after you consent or explicitly request the map.
Analytics cookies
We do not use analytics cookies on SelfGuardPro.life at this time. If that changes, we will update this policy and request consent where required before activating non-essential analytics.
3. Managing your preferences
When you first visit, a banner offers three options: accept all cookies, reject optional cookies, or customise settings. You can enable or disable functional cookies in the customise panel. To withdraw consent later, clear site data for SelfGuardPro.life in your browser settings; the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Most browsers also let you block all cookies globally. Blocking essential storage may prevent us from remembering your cookie choice, but the site will remain readable because content is delivered as HTML without requiring JavaScript.
SelfGuard Pro staff do not have access to your browser storage values. If you contact us for support, we can only suggest general steps to reset preferences on your device.
4. Third-party cookies
The only third-party content that may set cookies is the Google Maps embed on contact.php, and only after you opt in. Review Google's privacy and cookie documentation at policies.google.com for details about their processing.
5. Cookie duration
Essential consent records stored in local storage persist until you clear site data or until we change the storage key as part of a technical update. Session cookies from our hosting provider, if any, typically expire when you close your browser. Google Maps cookies, when loaded, follow Google's retention schedules described in their documentation.
6. Your rights
Because optional cookies may involve personal data processing by Google, you have rights under the PDPA regarding information collected through embedded services. Exercising those rights may require contacting Google directly for data processed solely on their systems. For data SelfGuard Pro controls, see the Privacy Policy.
7. Do Not Track
Our website does not respond to Do Not Track browser signals because we do not track users across third-party sites. Your cookie banner choice remains the primary control mechanism on SelfGuardPro.life.
9. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy if our use of cookies changes. The date at the top indicates the latest revision.
10. Contact
